It is going so fast. We loved having my mom’s family with us for the 4th of July and then the following week having my dad’s sister, my aunt Althea visiting us! We started the summer off with a trip to Grinnell to attend Erica’s graduation party (David’s girlfriend, Martina’s daughter). We were able to check out their recently purchased home and take in all the planned changes that they have in store for it. June was full of spending time with family and getting out on the boat. Ellie and I just finished an ‘All Girls Weekend’ with my friend Tammy and her two grand daughters. Ellie and Brielle are just a day apart in age and just love being around each other and Claire is just turned one so they are fun to watch! We are now down to 3 weeks left at daycare! She has been at the same daycare since she was 7 months old!
After daycare is done Ellie and Emily are going to spend a week with Grandma and Grandpa camping in the RV at Lake Hendricks! This will be the first long time away for Ellie! I asked her if she would miss me and she said, ‘I will draw a picture of you to take with me.’ I think I will be more bothered by the distance than she will! Then she will have one week with my neighbor’s daughter watching both Ellie and Emily then…. KINDERGARTEN!
We have our schedule in for Kid’s Company, her bus information is set and we are eagerly awaiting our Kindergarten Teacher assignment and list of supplies so that we can go school shopping for the first time! Ellie so wants to have the same teacher that Emily had- Mrs. Clausen… keep your fingers crossed!
It has been a hot summer and the mosquitos have been thick but the company has been fabulous, the food never better, sweet corn just perfect, wine and conversation just the best! Looking forward to an amazing fall with cold crisp nights and time spent in the apple orchards and corn maze!
