Ellie had her jean leggings a long sleeve T-shirt and pink Mary Jane sneakers! She also added to her ensemble her fairy powder from last year and a sparkly purse to put her gift to Twig the Fairy in!
And as we came through the front gate who should we meet but ‘TWIG’! Ellie was so excited to see her and to give her a gift. She had found a black cord and a beautiful glass leaf that she knew Twig would LOVE!
She did LOVE IT! She then showed us the direction we needed to go in order to see MERMAIDS! Yes mermaids are at the festival this year!!!!!
There were two sitting on rocks in the water fall and one in a tank. The one in the tank gave Ellie a crystal shell to put under her pillow so that she could make a wish!
After watching Tuey the juggler and tight rope walker’s show and the Big Bad Wolf show by The Tortuga Twins, Ellie got to ride this lovely pony named ‘Frosty’!
We also had gourmet pizza, wine (for me) and lemonade for my little gal!
We checked out the petting zoo and then it was off to Twig the Fairy’s store… did I say that Ellie LOVES Twig!?!?!?!
By this point Ellie had purchased a blue gown to wear for Halloween (she is planning on being Merida from Brave) and a beautiful tiara and a claddagh ring like mommy’s! At Twig’s store she bought The Mermaid Misadventure and had the joy of having Twig sign it for her!
This was proving to be a very exciting day for my little one!
She even got her picture taken with some ‘Ladies of the Realm’- this made me chuckle as she whispered to me that the ‘Queen’ was wearing a beautiful red dress! Out of the mouths of children. Little did she know that these were very nicely dressed men!
We of course had to go and see the mermaids again! You really can’t go and just see them ONCE!
Then it was off to the front to leave with the hopes of seeing Twig one last time… unfortunately she wasn’t there yet and I was forced to walk back with Ellie to Twig’s store to find her! She wasn’t there so we headed back to the front gate again just to get side tracked by more horses!
Ellie got to ride Daisy, a beautiful big Belgium! She looked so tiny on top of that big horse but she hopped right up and wasn’t scared at all… and I must say that I think she has a really good seat!
One the way out we got to see Twig one last time… Ellie wanted to stay there with her… she loves her sooooo much!
She made out with a bunch of fairy stones, mermaid shells, a tiara, ring, intertwined hearts face painting, pink swan balloon, Merida dress, Twig book, and the heart of the Pirate Queen’s jewel!
Mommy got to have a few bites of her pizza, a glass of wine, some sips of lemonade, part of an apple tart with cinnamon ice cream, and my big prize…. a signed Tortuga T-shirt that says on the back ‘The Liver is Evil and Must Be Punished!’
